The Travel Assist function provides you with extremely useful driving assistance on board. It can keep you in your lane, and maintain a minimum distance to the vehicle in front and the maximum speed you have set.

One of the features it uses to do this is adaptive lane guidance. This actively keeps the vehicle in the middle of the lane. Travel Assist adapts to your driving style and can also drive further to the left or right in its lane instead of exactly in the middle.

Rear view camera

Imagine how much easier reverse parking would be if you had eyes on the back of your head. Well, now you do, thanks to the Rear View Camera. It provides a clear video feed of everything behind your car, enabling you to reverse into various spaces effortlessly.

Airbags.

In the Tiguan, you and the family are well protected. The vehicle contains

• Front centre & side airbags
• Side airbags at the rear in combination with curtain airbag

For an all-round overview

Who is not familiar with the situation: straining your eyes as you slowly approach unclear exits or junctions that are difficult to see. The standard Front Cross Traffic Assist can help you to cope with such situations. If another vehicle crosses your path, the system can alert you to this visually and acoustically using radar technology or can trigger emergency braking in case of a potential collision.

Emergency assist

If you no longer show any driving activity as a result of a medical emergency, Emergency Assist can register this and attempt to get your attention. If it is unsuccessful in doing so, it can bring the vehicle to a controlled stop within the system limits and thus prevent an accident if necessary.

The all-new Tiguan's front seats offer perfect comfort and relaxation. The Life model provides manual and pneumatic lumbar adjustments, while the R-Line offers ergoActive sports seats in ArtVelours with a massage feature.

Colours define spaces

Enhance your driving experience with the optional interior lighting feature, available on the R-Line variant of the new Tiguan.

With a gentle touch, you can illuminate the cabin in a choice of up to 30 colours (10 in the Life variant). The interior boasts five light strips and illuminated decorative elements, allowing you to create a personalised ambience that suits your style. Standout highlights include the illuminated R-Line logo or Tiguan lettering on the dashboard, depending on your selected equipment line.

The electric tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof in the new Tiguan R-Line Touring Package is sure is a real eye-catcher.

Thanks to its enormous glass surface, it bathes all passengers in more light and offers an unrestricted view of the sky. Its electric roller sunshade protects from excessive sunlight. Would you like some fresh air? The front half of the sunroof can optionally be tilted or extended fully backwards.

The IDA voice assistant allows you to conveniently operate the radio, telephone, your music and the three-zone air conditioning system. This also applies to other vehicle functions such as access to driver assist systems. For example, you can select the radio station or choose the address book entry or telephone number you're looking for with your voice.

Drive safely and make phone calls at the same time? The Comfort mobile phone interface gives you everything you need for this: the hands-free system has microphones in the roof console, while the internal speakers ensure high sound quality of the voice output. The front storage compartment also has an inductive charging function for wirelessly charging up to two Qi standard-compliant mobile phones simultaneously with a charging capacity of 15 W and device cooling. The connection to the external aerial is also ensured wirelessly to optimise the reception quality.
